This new Zultys feature enables "plug and play" operation from any home allowing remote workers full access to the phone system. The user simply takes their IP phone home and plugs it into power and into the home network (the implementation works for Zultys ZIP phones as well as some third party phones such as those from Polycom or Cisco). The phone is then able to communicate with a Zultys MX30 or MX250 at a public IP address even when the phones are behind a firewall/NAT device as shown below. This feature is present in MX version 3.2.9 releasing next week. No special configuration is required on the MX system. The MX can automatically detect that the phone is communicating from behind a Firewall/NAT device and respond accordingly.
